Måns Wrange
****************************************************************

++++ Måns Wrange was born in Åhus, Sweden, in 1961 and lives in Stockholm. He works on long-term projects - often up to five or ten years - in which he explores socio-political strategies for changing society, such as lobbying, professional opinion-forming and think tanks.

++++ THE AVERAGE CITIZEN LOBBYING PROJECT
An ‘average citizen profile’ was created by assembling the most frequently used statistical averages, and a person fitting this statistical profile was found. This average citizen was then given access to the same sophisticated methods of professional opinion-forming and lobbying used by special interest groups and large corporations to influence public opinion. A broad spectrum of the most influential people in Sweden from politics, popular culture and the media was contacted and invited to participate in the project by using one of the average citizen’s opinions in a context with great opinion-forming potential. To date, the average citizen’s opinions have reached millions of people on hundreds of occasions, e.g. by way of a line in a popular TV series, a speech by a leading politician, an editorial in a major newspaper and a topic for a public debate program. (Mans Wrange)
