++++ For the first time, Frankfurt is the host for Manifesta, the European biennial for contemporary art which regards its focus as being the presentation of young artists. As a wandering event, Manifesta is headed by an international foundation, but the organization on location in Frankfurt has been undertaken by the artists’ house Mousonturm. The curators are Iara Boubnova (Institute for Contemporary Art in Sophia), Nuria Enguita Mayo (Antoni Tàpies Foundation in Barcelona) and Stephanie Moisdon Trembley.
For three months, artists from all over Europe will show their works at the Kunstverein, Portikus, Schirn Kunsthalle, Städel, Städel School and Frankensteiner Hof in Sachsenhausen. Apart from that, several projects in public spaces are planned. Workshops, lectures and an internet platform invite people to participate in communication and public debate.
