++++ The RADEK COMMUNITY, founded in 1997. A group of young artists, musicians and art critics who live and work in Moscow.

First activities: participation in actions and performances of the ‘School of Contemporary Art’ by Avdei Ter-Oganian (1997-1998). Took part in many different actions of the Non-Governmental Control Committee by Anatoly Osmolovsky: THE BARRICADE, THE MAUSOLEUM (during the ‘99 Elections, AGAINST ALL company).

Most important projects: MANIFESTATION (2000). WELL, IT’S... ACCORD!!!, presented at the Russian art exibition ‘DAVAI!’ (Berlin, 2002).

Now the members of the RADEK COMMUNITY are working in their own gallery named ‘France’.

The gaze of the artist locates or creates instances of art on the streets by dissecting the urban environment in this group of video works. In some cases the video format provides an additional stage for art that is of and in the streets, thus bringing to the fore the feeling of immense pleasure experienced by those who make art. In other cases artists take to the streets themselves in pursuit of the same sensations.
