Extensive experiments in time and non-time based video/digital medium in group and solo shows in the country and internationally.

++++ ReStart is a video ‘story’ that demonstrates some amazing technical skills and speed in the act of assembling a laptop computer. The work looks like a video manual or a commercial. Only the strong sense of irony prevents us from believing that this is indeed a manual. Of course, the closest association one can have is with the training sessions for how to handle various weapons. However, this association is not implied by the work in any way. It appears in the eye of the beholder whose consciousness is ‘spoiled’ by the magic and the myth of mighty computer technology. The demonstration of supreme craftsmanship is as pleasant visually and comforting emotionally as when one observes a jeweller at work. In spite of the ironical nature of the whole story, it triggers the nostalgic feeling of comfort that only traditional craftsmanship is able to engender. (Iara Boubnova)
