++++ 1. First, since when have you been your father?
I am not myfather. Something like that happens as a child, even though I cannotremember it. I remember asking for clothes from my father, which thenbecame my own, and that was four years ago.

2. Do you sometimes wish to revert to the person you were before you became your father?
You always revert to something. It is the story of a flight which becomesa trap. I am not performing theatre and do not have any obligation toanybody. To again become as I once was is a problem. The outline ofmy liver was visible through my clothes. I had long fingernails andmy gums bled even at the most inopportune moments. There was someonewho liked me and started to cry on seeing me.

3. Is your father still alive? How did he react when he saw you as himself?
My father died last summer, but I believe that he regarded it as a kind of reparation. He never said so to me, but to say, ‘This is my son’ was an old problem. I was not the first wayward version of his son.
